French Mamelukes, I understand they were not french, what is thier story? Where did they fight for the french? what units were they attached too? battle honors? Units size and strength? Any other interesting information always helpful....

Mamluks where originaly from Turkisch orging. They concurred Egypt and rules till Napoleonix tiimes. Napoleon was so impressed by their fighting skills that he formed a regiment and took them to France as his personal guard.

Hey there,

In agreeance with the above - They were especially known for their curvacious blades sharpened over many hundreds of years (Heirloom peices).

Napoleon infact included the Mamlukes in his Imperial Guard.
