Napoléon Bonaparte and Julius Caesar had something in common besides their military genius. What was it?

Napoléon a écrit un bouquin sur la Guerre des Gaules quand il étai à Ste Hélène

Napoléon wrote a book about " De Bello Galico" when he was at Ste Hélène

?

Sorry Mirof, this is not the right answer. As indicated this has nothing to do with their military prowess...

Désolé Mirof mais ce n’est pas la bonne réponse. Comme je l’ai indiqué, ça n’a rien à voir avec leur talent militaire…

I am assuming this has nothing to do with the many symbols Napoleon copied from the Romans....

I presume it's not those apocryphal anatomical tales...

Probably way, way off but both were wearing laurel wreaths on their heads?

Great thinking but this is not it!:wink2:

Both turned their republic states into empires.

Actually I believe Augustus was the founder of the Roman Empire and therefore the first Roman Emperor so this is not the answer I am looking for!:wink2:

So it's not that they both used eagles as a symbol?

Did they both keep exotic pets? I know Cesar had a giraffe, but only Napoleon III had a giraffe, not Napoleon I.

Both have main animal characters in films named after them- Napoleon in Animal Farm, Caesar in Planet of the Apes.

Both helped discover new species. Caesar in the Hercynian forest, Napoleon when he was in Egypt.

Great thinking Sandor but this is not it. :rolleyes2:

And the answer is: apparently both Napoléon and Caesar (and Wellington too) suffered from ailurophobia which is an irrational fear of cats!
