For 19 months Napoléon kept under house arrest in France a foreign head of state. Who was that person?

The Pope.^&grin
-Sandor:salute::
Correct answer Sandor! Napoléon kept Pius VII locked up in the "Château de Fontainebleau" from June 1812 to January 1814 following Napoléon's excommunication by the Pope which itself followed the annexion by Napoléon of the Roman states to the Empire. There was no love between them...
