Escort to the Eagle Imperial Garde Engineers Trooper

I'd say it was the 2nd or 3rd Porte-Aigle or standard bearer of an Infantry Regiment.

They would be senior NCO's who defended the Eagle but I have found that they didn't always wear the steel helmet, they could have worn a bearskin or shako.

The eagle carrier would be an officer and so he was the 1st Porte-Aigle

I will give the Eagle to John! They were indeed Line Infantry 2nd Eagle-Bearers. They were colour-sergeants mainly responsible to defend the Imperial emblem. Please see below pic.

Yes, that was a bit tricky, like I said, they didn't always wear the helmet.

By the way, who makes the figures in the image?

John

Oh yes, I should have recognised it was Lead Army, I have 8 of those figures in my colletcion, they are very nice castings that I have painted, and I see they have a few new ones listed!

So, what's the next Question ??????

John

I am working on it and hope to post it before the weekend...FYI I will be in Europe for the next 2 weeks (Ireland, France and Denmark) for business and pleasure, so I will be quiet during that time :smile2:

I have a few figures of Lead Army too and I agree that they have very nice details...
