What was Napoléon's fragrance of choice?
This one is a bit easier than usual. By the way, they still make it, and it is very nice!
Eau de Cologne Trooper
Well done Trooper! Yes it's Eau de Cologne
I found this cool set but "Les étains du prince" don't seem to carry it anymore :
Can I get a link to the set?
If you Google or Bing "Napoleon Fragrance" you'll get that pic. I went on their Web site and as I indicate they don't carry this set anymore. I looked on Ebay, etc. but could not find it either. Too bad, I know...

I Googled "Les Etains Du Prince" this morning, pulled up their home page, clicked on "Empire Collection," & then clicked on "Napoleon Perfume." The soap & the fragrance still seem to be available. The fragrance was created for the company, but it looks interesting, nonetheless. Hope this helps.

Correct! I double checked and they are under "Collection Figurines en Etain" (Tin figurine collection) which is why I could not find them. Thanks again!
That is a very cool site! Not only will I be getting some perfume, but some of their figures are very nice, and things not normally made, such as the coach, limber, forge, camp scenes, desk scenes, etc.... They are very $$, but one once in a while would be good for some painting fun!
Yes, they produce very cool items. I really like their forge: http://www.etains-du-prince.com/col...n_69_premier-empire_forge-avec-servants_.html
It's interesting to see that they mix painted parts with plain tin parts and/or tin parts for the some figurines. At least the ones they provide painted are the tough ones so this makes the painting work easier...:wink2:
Their products would make a very cool camp scene, with a forge arriving, and soldiers mending a cannon, a camp of lancers, and Napoleon with his tent (and maybe his carriage).
Agreed. Unfortunately they are in Euros (hence not cheap for us Americans)
Gentlemen, all of these items, coach, forge, desk scenes , camp scenes etc are all available from ATS either painted or unpainted at very reasonable prices. ATS has the largest range of Napoleonic figures on the market and their website is well worth a look. Check out www.ats-uk.net Trooper
