Yes, in 1795 Napoléon gave back to Eugène (who will become later his stepson and adoptive son) the sword of his father General Alexandre de Beauharnais who was guillotined at the end of the French revolution in 1794. This is actually the first time they met and it was at the request of Eugène who had asked for the return of his father's sword. As we know the following year Napoléon married his mother Joséphine!
