For all you Napoleonic collectors I just picked up a book you might be interested in. Military History Press has released Napoleon’s Last Grande Armee. It is a collection of 148 color plates of Napoleonic Uniforms from the 1813 armistice. During the armistice two German artists visited Napoleons camp and did watercolors of the different regiments they encountered. 50 of those plates have survived that are known about and are in the book. The other 98 plates are from revisions done to the original 1813 plates by Charles Brun at the turn of the century. I love this book and would recommend it to anyone interested in Napoleonic Uniforms. Here is the address if you are interesed www.militaryhistorypress.com.
