Sorry I don't know much yet. I know it has to be similar but the different wording gets me.
I am trying to do a decent set of french line infantry and my ESCI set gets poor reviews.

Patrick,
French Fusiliers are french line infantry. The basic types are
Light Infantry (legere)
Chasseurs (line companies of light battalion)
Voltigeurs ("Elite" light infantry company of light infantry battalion)
Carabiniers (equivalent to Grenadiers, large, strong, shock troops)

Line (Ligne)
Fusiliers (line companies of line battalion
Voltiguers
Grenadiers

The Guard has a few other types as well but that would be a bear to explain here. Hope this helps!
