Here is a picture of my two First Legion 12 pounders. I apologize for the blurred picture; my digital camera skills need some work. Now you know why I don’t post more pictures. I will try taking some better picture when time permits and my skills improve. Mixed into this scene are some Historex pieces and some Metal Models figures I painted.

Nice set up KM; I guess you will be ready for the British square then.:):D

I also find it difficult to get good shots inside. It is tricky to get the lighting right without using a flash and I find I mostly have to use a tripod to avoid blurring and even then it still happens if the lighting is not sufficient. It makes you appreciate the masters here.

That is a figure of General D'Hautpoul made by Le Cimier of Paris. It is sculptured by the same man who does Metal Models.

My problem with the digital camera is with the focus. My depth of field is all messed up. The camera seems unable to focus on itme close to the camera's lens. The camera's manual is not much help, I will have to learn by tried and error.

Try getting further back and zooming in!

I have the same problem and have given up. Between taking the pictures and then figuring out how to post them it's not worth the aggrevation. Kudos to those that do since they are always fun to look at on the forum.

If you take them, I can help on the posting. It is dead easy if you use one of the free online photo repositories like photobucket.

Thank fellow forum members. The ideas offered about how to improve my camera skills are most helpful. I should quit trying to get close-up with the actual camera instead stand back and let the zoom lens take the picture in for a close up. Also I should use something to steady my hold of the camera. I am feeling renewed confidence and will try taking some additional photos.

Thank you for your help.
