Would be too much in addition to the carriage for a pair of horses in the Russian snow...:wink2:

I don't think it would be too long, it would be too heavy for the poor horses to pull through the snow.

A gun team would normally have 4 or 6 horses with riders on the left hand horse, and that was needed becasue the guns were very heavy.

See this Gun Team by French maker MHSP that I painted.

Your 2 horses are good for an empty wagon, but couldn't pull a full wagon.

About a gun team, I have something like this(..but in the summer conditions)
