Thanks for your comments Ken; I'd need about four times the space and four times the dough to do this in 54mm.

But, it would look spectacular................

Very nice George, your 20mm figs continue to draw my interest to the Napoleonic wars, really colorful!

Lovely work George and you know this is my favorite theme. Very inspiring as well. Actually I hope to come close to doing something like that eventually in 54mm; if I can live long enough and stay sufficiently solvent.;):D

Thanks for the feedback Ray; and you hit the nail on the head for me, just a great period to collect in terms of color, my favorite by a nose over WWII..............

Bill,
I figured you especially would like this one.......;). Please excerise and take you vitamins as I'd love to see you take a crack at something like this in 54mm, I'd drive up to New Hampshire just to see it in person.......

I have plans for a larger (twice this size) effort for this campaign, two of them actually, am working on the buildings now through David from TM Terrain............so stay tuned.

George nice shots! Glad to see you digging out the Napoleonics again.

George, this is defiantly the way to go about all things Napoleonic! Those figures are really nicely finished as usual, thanks for taking the time to set these up for our mutual pleasure. :)

I like the close up shots they realy highlight your nice painting style .
Way to go George keep painting & playing.

Thanks for the feedback on my work everyone and I also appreciate the compliments on my painting style, I really enjoy painting the Napoleonics although truth be told I didn't do all of them in these pictures, but a good deal of them are my work.

It's funny how the same forum members always seem to enjoy the Napoleonics; glad to be of service to you guys, will keep posting the pictures as more displays come about...........

Hi George,
I also enjoy seeing large scale Napoleonic dioramas and these look spectacular.
When K&C came out with their first matt Napoleonics I was excited about their Peninsular War theme. Unfortunately they veered toward the more popular Waterloo campaign. Not to say I stopped collecting them but I thought there was enough Waterloo out there already (true mostly in gloss).

I have done some dioramas in the smaller scales but they just don't have the same "personality" as the 54mm and up scales. Pragmatically when it comes to space and cost the smaller scales make sense but we need more larger scale Napoleonics.
First Legion has a great range and quality but price wise they are somewhat inhibiting.
CS has contributed to my collection nicely and I hope K&C will add to their Napoleonic range as well.

Thanks........

Thank you for the comments and for your positive feedback, glad you like my work, Napoleonics deserve huge dioramas and 20mm is the scale that works best for me personally.

And you are right, more Napoleonics are needed in 54mm. Personally, I'd love to see more attention paid to "Napoleons Spanish Ulcer" as the battles were huge in scope, involved fighting in towns, cities, fixed positions as well as many nationalities of troops for both sides.

Here's hoping anyway........

Well each to his own but I would much rather take a wee bit (25% or so) longer to build my FL range than settle for a cheaper and faster option. No question there is plenty of room for the others but I am content to progress with the FL range to date and eagarly anticipate their inevitable progress into the Peninsula.:D
