The National Capital Model Soldiers Society (NCMSS) will host their 55th annual DC Show this coming Saturday September 10th at the Thomas Edison High School in Alexandria Virginia from 9:00am till 4:00pm.

This is the areas longest running show, 55 years and still going strong, this show has always taken place the Saturday after Labor day weekend, it used to be at the Northern Virginia Community College, but it moved three years ago to Thomas Edison High School in Alexandria.

I will have the usual offerings from K & C, First Legion, JJD, TGM, Britains, Empire Military Miniatures, Cold Steel and Frontline as well as a large assortment of plastics, plus diecast vehicles from FOV and 21st Century toys, will also have terrain and scenery as well.

There is also a large exhibit area where the club members display their work, similar to the Valley Forge (MFCA) show.

This club and the MFCA club have been good to myself and all the other vendors for years, I appreciate them running these shows and they have strong member and non member turn outs.

Hope to see some of you there; once again, I will be in Alexandria, not Annandale...................................................

Thanks to everyone who attended this show on Saturday.

I did extremely well there, I appreciate the support, as do the other dealers who attended.

The exhibit area was good as well, nice to see the work some of the club members do.

The show was well attended and this club has been running their show for 55 years.

The bottom line is clubs like this one, MFCA, the Long Island club and the New Jersey club don't these shows with the ultimate goal of trying to peddle as many tables as possible for profit, they do it to share the hobby, expand the hobby and try to grow the hobby. They've also put a lot of money in my pocket and other dealers pockets as well, which is greatly appreciated.

Glad I was able to make it. Stuck to my budget which was good! This is only my 3rd show (all small ones). But it is nice to talk and see all the different things up close. Can't beat it.
