The JJD Navy Pilot figure is very versatile. The figure height is 29mm and fits into the cockpit of the Hobby Master F6F and SBD Aircraft. The figure height in the cockpit can be adjusted by increasing the seat height with a piece of modeling clay as required. Many large scale aircraft models come without pilot figures or the figures are of poor quality. The JJD figures are excellent and will fit into most 1/32 or 1/30 scale cockpits.

Great information and photo example, Katana … many thanks.

I have no clue as to John's or Andy's future plans for a SBD (and others) but your pics are now a definitely an option for me to consider.

Larrry the HB SBD is a very nice Diecast Metal model. The rudder, alerons and dive flaps are all movable. The engine cowel is removable to show a fully detailed engine. The landing gear folds up or down and it comes with a metal stand to display it in a dive. I purchased mine on Ebay for $182.00. Several versions are available; Coral Sea, Midway and prewar Gold Wings. The opening canopy was a deciding factor for me over polystone models. I am considering the JJD F4U; as it is a very fine model IMO.

Consider no more, Katana. … ^&grin.
I have both the BH-01 (VF-84) and BH-02 VMF-221) and consider them "TOP SHELF" models.
I won't (rewrite) all the accolades about the sets as they have been accurately described in other threads but I will say … ANY plane that John makes will find one in my collection, without question.

Again thank you for the good information on the Hobby Master sets … now I'm off to peruse eBay ...{sm4}
