Nearly 30,000 ceramic poppies are on display at the Tower of London to mark 80 years since the end of World War Two in Europe. The red poppies have been positioned to resemble a cascading "wound" at the heart of the Norman fortress, which was bombed during the Blitz.

While 30k poppies at the Tower is just lovely I remember 10 years ago they had a million poppies on display around the tower. Now that was impressive, saw it close up. Huge crowds came. blew my mind....
