I recently purchased a Figarti tiger for a really good price but there is a small problem with it that needs to be fixed. As far as I can tell there are tiny track pins holding the tracks together and about 10 or so of them are gone and about an inch and 1/2 long section of the track has come out and has several other spots where it is half detached. Has anyone here ever fixed a problem like this before? What would be a good thing to use for replacement track pins?

Not heard of the problem before mate, but I would be looking at getting some very narrow guage piano wire (sprung steel), cutting it in to lengths and threading it through to make up the links. Sounds very similar to the after market metal track links used on 1/35 scale models.
You could probably use any narrow guage wire, but piano wire will be easier to thread through the small holes in the track links.

Cheers

Kevin, give Matt at Hobby Bunker a call. He's the US distributor and is very helpful.

You can try .018 or .020 ss wire as well to repair...cut into appropriate length....let us know if you find other methods...try a local orthodontist this wire is cheap

Thanks for all the suggestions gents!

I wanted to avoid going out and buying the necessary stuff to do the fix, and just use stuff around the house. What I ended up using was a combination of doubled over pieces of staples and leftover grab handles from a tamiya 1/35 t-34. I had to improvise about ten of the track pins, and this combination eventually worked out, with the last set being the most difficult to put on.
