I am interested in obtaining out of print toy soldier magazines that would have articles about K&C gloss figures starting in 1988 onward to say 1994. Any suggestions on name of magazine that would have that kind of information? Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom, There may be some magazines or brochures from the early days but likely too hard to find now days. Nevertheless here is a recent re-post from Louis to me as I was looking for the same thing (both books to get you going will be $300 plus shipping) You will want both books I'm told. Volumes 2 & 4 have not been completed...

RE-POST:

Here is a link to the ordering page for Volume I of the book (click on "Author's Bookstore" for Volume III)

Thanks guys...........but I have had both voulumes for over a year and love them for their information, especially the product numbers, BUT, I have a bunch of LAH gloss that I want to be sure I have the right product number for each and I was thinking, after going over Sager's old brochure listings, that maybe, the toy soldier magazines in the era of 1988 to 1994 might have articles or advertisements concerning the gloss K&C products during that time period. "Old Toy Soldier Magazine" and "Toy Soldier Review" were published during that period, and there may be more out there, I don't know.

Tom,

Can you post photos of the items you have questions anout. Bill doesn't have all the brochures on his website.

Tom,
It looks like you have caught the bug :smile2: I had the same issues with regard to figuring out the LAH glossy sets. The LAH series in gloss is confusing as over the years, K&C changed the content of a set while keeping a set number the same. So, for example, LAH09 (single motorcycle rider) originally came two to a set and later on changed to one to a set. The same with I believe LAH05 (A.H.) which was sold in two to a set, one in gray uniform and one in brown uniform. Some sets were also unique in that LAH04 (Four SS Officers) sometimes came with one AH figure or with two. The actual content of some sets also changed from time to time, so depending on when the set was bought, the figures in the box could be very different from what you expected, depending on the year of the pricelist you have. It is the same for other series that K&C did as well - such as the Seaforths and the Civil War. Hope this helps a little, but if you need further help, just PM me or send it to my e-mail lawrence.lo140@gmail.com All the best, Lawrence
