Hi.

Back in the late 70s, I was given a Stadden Hussar in red. Is there a webpage out there where I can get the reference number for the figure?

Thanks,
MikeNick

No, or, sort of. You can go to Tradition's website, www.traditionoflondon.com, and browse their online catalog and see if you find it. However, Tradition's catalog includes so many ranges, with so many different origins, that it's not easy for me to say, without seeing the figure. If it's from the 54mm custom figure line, for example, you will find no reference currently on Tradition's website. I have a hardcopy catalog that includes the custom range--I got it back in the 90's from a dealer, specifically to order the custom figures--and it has descriptions of the figures, though that range had no catalog numbers. If it's from one of the other 54mm ranges, you may find a picture there.

If your figure is a larger-size statuette with a base with a description on it, printed in a scroll, then Bernard (cardigan) will be able to help you identify it.

If you're able to post pictures of your figures, that can really help us to help you identify them.

Prost!

Sorry for the delay. Here are two photos of my Stadden. Would you be able to identify the figure.

Thanks,
MikeNick

The figure is of the Imperial Russian Life Guard Hussars c.1912. Trooper

Thanks for the photo, Mike!

Seeing the figure, I agree with Trooper. This is from the "custom" figure line, so you won't find any photos of it at Tradition's website. It is included, though, in promotional photos that Tradition published in their magazine, and which were also collected into a book they released as "Model Soldiers". On page 34, they printed three photos of figures of the Imperial Russian Army, 1911-1914. The figure was intended to depict Count Woronzoff, according to the caption, but the Tradition catalog only lists "General of Hussars". Of course, with the similarity in details from one regiment to the next, the same casting could be used, with little modification, to represent a number of regiments.

Thank you very much.

Do you have any idea of how much the figure is worth?

Thanks,
MikeNick
