I made this basic diorama of a road but it doesn't feel right. Not sure about the trees are they to many, not enough or too many types. I'm ready to start over.

I think it needs bushes and brush weed or something to that effect. It looks ok but I think the bushes will fill it out more. Oh, and some raised up dirt and moss would be good.

I thought this would be pretty cool.

What do you use for water? How long does it take you to produce one of these?

Are you interested in selling some? I have an arrangement with a customer of mine to do something similar. PM me if you're interested.

That is a really top notch effort! Did you scratch build the bridge of purchase it as a kit? I am really quite impressed with your work.

The bridge was a kit and the rest of the work was railroad scenic materials.

For the water I used Woodland Scenics Realistic water. I have a few but they are 1/35 scale I'm just trying out 1/32 dioramas.

Alex

You say your diorama of this road but it doesn't feel right. You have done a very great job of modelling as I see it. You just need to weather it. Its way to clean. You have my phone number give me a call. As an old model railroader I know quite few tricks & tips to share that cost nothing.

Nice work Alex. The first one has a lot of tress but that is in no way a bad thing. The fun of doing these is building what you like and what's in your head. The second one is great. Is that the Custom Dioramics bridge kit? Nice job getting that together. One suggestion I would have is to use some different color earth pigments in the base of your stream next time and it won't look so "clear" and more like a muddy European stream. I love this stuff...doesnt it make the KC product stand out so much more?? You dealers reading this page should have displays like these in your shops and see what happens to sales! The dealers at the Chicago show that just show the product in the green boxes always loose out to the dealers smart enough to display the soldiers on dioramas...just ask Bill Moore and George G. :)

Although hate is a strong word I would side with Gary ;) .I'm more jealous of your talents.Great work guys.I also agree with Warbuff on the dealer diorama and sales comment.Bill has Warbuff to thank and George(Warrior)does his own great work. Both their rooms provide the buyer with ideas to put in place for their own diorama's at home.Last year George provided a multitude of great pieces and I expect the same this year.
Alex,Warbuff and any others creating diorama pieces.Do you ever submit your work in any contests? It seems good enough that it should be.Keep sending in pic's of your finished projects to the forum.Someday I hope to dabble in trying my hand at this stuff but for now I'll just purchase finished products.
