Just wondering what y'all think of K&C's new line of Confederates? The majority of my collection consists of their previous run of Confederates and their great. The various slouch hats and bedrolls really make them pop in my dioramas. Will their 2nd run of ACW figures be as big as the previous?

I think they are some fine looking figures for ACW collectors. Go for it. They have them here on Treefrog ! :salute::

I have all of the Confederates and all the Union except the flag bearer (which I will be getting soon). They are all superb, the best ACW figures currently on the market by any manufacturer in my opinion.

Just bought their Alabama flagbearer. I think he'll look good with my 1st Legion/Collectors Showcase Rebs. What I really need to do is load up on yankees, dont wanna spend a premium on those (I'm partial;) Anyone going to the Chicago Toy Soldier Show? It will be my first.

I will be going to the Show.

I have many of the older releases and I think they're better than the more recent ones although the more recent ones are not bad either.

I also have most of the FL ACW releases and I'm not sure they will work well with K & C. From what I have told and have seen, Britain's is a better match with FL.

It depends on what you're looking for. If, for instance, you're hoping to buy some new items, probablyl not. However, with some older retired stuff that, possibly.

Thanks for the heads up. Lookin for ACW Union infantry, but hoping not to spend a premium.

I assume you're going for the room trading. That, in my opinion, is the best part of the Show.

If you're looking for new ACW items, you may not find any bargains. Older stuff you might.

trading room? sounds pretty cool. I have a few extra Conte/Troini sets I might bring then. Appreciate the info!

The room trading (which is on the 4th and 5th floors) starts on Tuesday/Wednesday (although it doesn't really get in full swing until Thursday) and continues through Saturday of the week of the Show.

I have no access to a physical store. My question is ... K&C's new Maine figures look larger than the earlier issue Chasseurs, are all K&C's Union troops compatible looking in one diorama?

There is no "trading room" at the show; ie, a room where people wander in and out looking to trade items.

There is however "room trading", which means dealers arrive as early as Tuesday the week prior to the actual show on Sunday and set up their rooms like stores and sell out of those rooms, hence the term "room trading." They sell, they don't actually trade.

You can bring those Troiani sets to the show and carry them around from room to room to see if anyone is interested in trading for them; I stopped bring my Troiani sets to the show due to lack of interest, but if you bring yours, good luck with the whole trading concept...................

Thanks for clarifying George. I suppose at some point they had actual trading but now you have people coming from all over the country and the world to show and hopefully sell their product.

Brad

Thanks for the clarification. I will be heading there Sunday with some sets and CASH lol to see if I can load up on some Yankees. Its really an awesome thing to have a community of enthusiasts who are as interested in history as much as I am. Now to get my wife and friends interested (Sometimes I feel like I'm the only 20 somethin year old who knows what a 54mm ACW figure is! )lol {sm4}
