Hi - on the Armies in Plastic website they have announced a new series of French Indian and 7 Years Wars figures - details not yet fully detailed
nice food for thought

Still no releases from Italeri - think we can forget anything new this year - it must be the recession catching up.

Looking forward to Airfix when they materialise.

Regards,

Steve Weston has pix of the Frontline French and Indian wars plastics up on his site.Armies in plastic evidently has contracted with Frontline{ not John Jenkins as reported elsewhere} and are doing the very early and very rare original Rangers and indians in plastic. The metals are long gone and done by Jenkins when still affiliated with Frontline.
looks like 8 ranger poses x 2 per set, 2 different sets of indians each with 6 poses x 3 each per set
and 2 different sets of the Newer Frontline French infantry, 8 different x 2 each per set.
An excellent addition to a plastic collectors Armies and a great way at least for those of us that like to paint to increase our war parties and French line Battalions in a very cost effective manner.
Maybe we'll see some British Line and cannon sets for both sides in the not too distant future !Available around August.

They look good Fubar :) I hope they {AIP} do more like this.

Thanks for the photos Scott. Frontline sculpts will be great. I hope they are fun to paint. The figures look like my early Jenkins/Frontline stuff. I will call soon. I know you are at the beach everyday.:) John

NICE. Good general advancing, loading and firing poses and I'm glad that a drummer, sergeant and officer is provided but after one box, they're redundant. AIP has gone from 10 to 8 poses. Indians and Rangers look good.

Those are good looking Toy Soldiers.
I will buy some of them as soon as they come out.

For my AIP Rev-War armies, I might get the Indians as British Rev-War allies. Some of the French figures and Rangers might make minutemen. I like those Rangers as well. They DON'T look like the "Northwest Passage" movie extras. I think I see a Ranger officer in the group that looks like the period image of Rogers.

These are all terrific figures; my main plastic figure supplier has these listed on their site as coming soon, so I put in an order for 24 boxes of each, they are going to sell like crazy when they arrive, a nice thing to see for plastic collectors...............

I'm really stoked to see these figures on the horizon. I love the period and the sculpts look terrific from the pics. I eagerly look forward to getting some of these and putting brush to plastic. I too hope that Tony considers other "arrangements" like this venture with FL.
