I visited the San Antonio store over the weekend. I was very luckily because I ran into Andy, who was in Texas working on the store's remodeling. He had brought with him examples of the new Alamo figures. WOW!! The first release will be the Mexican army to be followed by the defenders.

The Mexican figures included two cavalry, a mounted Santa Anna, and several Mexican infantry.

Two artillery crews are also in the pipe line.

The figures are still on display at the shop.

Did Andy give release dates, etc. Did he mention anything else on other lines, i.e. upcoming releases, that kind of thing?

The release date for the first group of Mexican figures will be this summer. No, sorry I didn't get any picture. However, the next K&C magazine will be showing them.

Can you let us know how the store looked, etc. Will they be selling other company figures or just K & C? I assume the latter.

The store was full of wonderful displays of King and Country figures. The major remodeling has not started yet. There are plans for a massive Alamo display and all new display cabinets.

The store will continue to sell other brands.

The King and Country site has pictures of the new Americans on there, for a September release.

I didn't see a Bowie figure in the Sept. release. That seems a strange omission given the large number of figures in this batch.

Andy-
I notice that the defenders (ie Texans) are individually named. That's a nice touch. Does KC plan to do all 200+ defenders?
