I was expecting to learn something more about the problems of underpinning the Sherman tank from the prepublication blurb. However, I was disappointed in the extreme to find that, at best, this is a 'coffee table' book of general information about world war two tanks. I haven't counted them, bit, there must be as many photographs of German armour as there are of Sherman and a lot more detailed in colour.
The production standard is heigh. Good quality and high production value photographs and finish. However, it is just a rehash of what most, really interested in the subject know.
So, if like me you wanted something which added to your knowledge, avoid this book. However, if you just want a book with coloured photos of lots of tanks, or something to put under the leg of a rickety coffee table, go for it.
