For our forum brothers who collect plastic, and for anyone who collected and painted Airfix figures of any scale, I'd like to bring this book to your attention, "The Airfix Plastic Toy Soldier". It was released in July.

Here is a link to the book at Barnes & Noble, though check with your favorite bookseller:

For me, the Airfix HO and 1/72 sets were a big step on the road to collecting-and casting and painting-toy soldiers. And the 1/32 sets of 8th Army and Afrika Korps rounded out my dioramas of Monogram's Grant and Pzkw IV tanks.

Hope you find the tip useful, prost!

Thats good to hear about this book, it was the 1/72 Airfix that got me into plastic toy soldiers, and then I progressed to the 1/32 scale Airfix..... I still have some of the Napoleonics from the 1960's that i payed with.

I've added the book to my 'Wish List' at Amazon, so maybe Father Chrismas will bring me that ?
