Hi all, I've been busy working on a new brick size. The ones I most recently made seemed to large for my Conte and TSSD guys. They do go good with the 1/18 scale as bricks.

let me know what you think. If I can work something out with Matt at Hobby Bunker, I will be selling them in sets of 5 packs. The dimensions are, 1/4" x 1 foot long, x 2 1/4" tall. I will also do them as 1 foot x 3/4 " x 2 1/4 ". This is why I have not been posting. These little bricks are very tedious, and all hand made.:)

I think no-one does brick walls like you do Mike.

Like the detail, and they look like they'd work quite happily for either 1/18 or 1/30 // 1/32.

I don't know if it's viable, in terms of your time spent marking out, but as well as the 2 1/4" height, what about considering some around the 10" height, so that they could be used for buildings?

Good stuff, as always.
Cheers
Simon

Hallo Mike,
really nice painting. Size looks perfect to me, great background for taking photographs. Just a daring question but have you ever finished a wall section in gloss to go with gloss painted figures? I am just wondering what it would look like.

Thanks Simon, Wolfgang, I have enough trouble painting matt style, but that would look pretty cool I bet. I don't think I even have any glossy paints, but I wonder what a water base semi gloss urathane would look like. If nothing else, it would seal the paint, if not melt it, something to try.

Mike,

What's happened to 'Modwalls City'?
That was shaping up to be the Mother of all landscapes, with the sheer volume of buildings you had made. I'd love to see that all painted up, all together, with a healthy dose of tanks and figures scattered around.

Wraith, Nice walls! Loved the forces of valor figure

Anyone who likes action figures should pic up forces of valor 1:18 figures

Vick:D

Wrong guy Vick! :D

Mike (modwalls) is the brick master around here. They are cool though ain't they?

Simon, I,ve been after him for awhile to get those all painted up and throw something together! I,ve even offered to come over and help him paint them up.
That would make an awsome diorama!

You're not kidding Tim. Can't imagine how long it must have taken to put all those together, but what a fantastic layout it would make.

Simon, Modwalls city is stacked up on top of each other. My mind gets side tracked on to different projects routinely.Someday I hope to paint up a bunch of them. I have a lot of trouble doing roof shingles, it is as time consuming as the brick work. I know I can buy roofing material, but I like to make my own stuff. Plus I really don't enjoy painting, but doing bricks in red, is easy.:)

Those are very nice. I don't suppose though any of you have though of doing some stone walls like that? The ones I have seen available are generally two low for 1/32.

I've done a few bits with stone walls, and of course, if carving out of foam, it can be to whatever dimensions you please.
