Really like the new Brits I got along with the Firefly, 88, & Mover.
The faces on them really seem to be an improvement, not the round look some of the older ones had.
Also want to compliment Figarti on it,s packing, everything arrived safe and sound.

They really are nice figures.I checked these out in London in June and they are imo their best figures yet, definitely on my list.

Don,t want to start a size controversy but Figartis 88 looks smaller than K&C,s 88. I kinda put them together (K&C,s is in a display case and I didn,t want to move it). The chasis on both look about the same but Figatis barrell looks smaller. What does anyone else think?
Again I really like both 88,s and am not rehashing size differences as we have seen in other threads.

There were several variations of the 88 cm gun. The Flak 18 barrel had a length of 56 calibres, (88/L56).The Flak 36 and Flak 37 were almost identical, but with improved gun carriages. the Flak 41 which entered service in 1943 had a longer barrel (88/L71) and used a longer cartridge case. There were variations in the size/angle of the gun shield and carriages as well. The Tiger used the 88/L56 and the King Tiger used the more powerful 88/L71.

Calibre refers to both the inside diameter of the gun tube and to the length of the gun relative to its diameter. An 88/L56 would be 88 cm x 56= 4.93 metres long and the 88/L71 would be 6.25 metres long. I am not sure if the Flak 36 and Flak 37 were also /L56 or slightly longer.

How do the Figarti figures compare to the K&C 88 gun crew?

Terry

Figartis figures seem to be skinnier than K&C,s but about the same height, no problem with the figures as K&C,s are always chunkier than it,s rivals.
