New British Guards On The Way?? (1 Viewer)

I was looking at the the First Legion web site and Saw a set of British Guards at the left corner, That I know for sure that has some new sculpts in it. Are we finally getting the reinforcements for the 1st Foot Guards?, or are the Coldstream Guards about to report for duty? Either way I am in!! And I have to say, Thank you Matt!!.

I'm rather excited about this possibility. The image isnt much to go on, but they do look rather like Coldstream Guards to me (that being said I am no expert).

I believe those are the old release of the 1st Guards.

The small preview on the website doesn't show British Guards, rather it's the British 51st Regiment of Light Infantry at Waterloo. Coming later this summer............

We are looking forward to these as many of us "sadly missed out" on the British Foot Guards....Maybe these will fill the void:wink2:.....Hope so.....and hopefully there will be enough figures to collect a sizeable defensive square along with some Flag-Bearers and Drummers.....I think that would make most NAP collectors very happy indeed.

Sorry you " sadly missed out" but those figures were in stock for years, just what were you buying instead of those beauties? Anyway just make sure you don't miss the upcoming British 51st Regiment of Light Infantry, it may be another 5 years before you get shot at more First Legion British Napoleonics:wink2: regards Gebhard

Yep, make a lot of flag bearers and drummers. Essential in collecting Naps.:smile2:

I was busy collecting FL Stalingrad, Romans, Crusaders, FL Naps Prussians and Russians and Mounted NAP Personalities^&grin^&grin^&grin.....Can't collect it all at once as you know:wink2::wink2:.....Anyway I got my sites set on the upcomming British 51st Regiment....and yet Gebs who knows these might be "even better" then what most of us missed the first time around:wink2:....... if we see some Flag bearers and Drummers in this new sub range....I'm in.... ALL THE WAY...... and I still think that Matt should re-create or re-release the 1st British Foot Guards........The guys want it.......Give the people what they want.... and.....What they are willing to BUY.....A WIN WIN for both FL and NAP collectors....{sm4}

I too, will be getting the 51st. I can hardly wait for it to be released. And if there is a re-release of the 1st Foot Guards, it will be the cherry on top.

I hear ya its impossible to collect em all at once, that's why you always have to have a plan my friend. Long story short its always best to go with the earlier releases first and work your way forward. The British Guard were released in Jan 2009 being previewed on this very forum on July 3, 2008, The Prussians came 10 months later, The Russians 1 Year and 5 months later, The first Crusaders weren't released until 1 year and 7 months after them and the First Romans came a whopping 2 years and 5 months after them. So looking back well you know :wink2:

I will bet that the upcoming British 51st Regiment of Light Infantry at Waterloo will be much much better then the Guard release of 2009. Its been show time and time again that First Legion just keep getting better, just look at the French line. Matt has always said that they will not do re-releases, but they have done some repaints case in point the Bavarians ( which are painted much better then the originals IMO). I would never say never to seeing the guard sculpts again but I'd bet the house the British Guard Infantry as they were released are long gone. best Gebhard
