I want to see what i am buying, its not part of a diorama where the base should disappear CS are selling a figure and it should 100% be ob display
would love to see the figure they are selling.

Oh i found them,
- 2nd Inf. Battalion, Hampton Legion, Co. H - South Carolina Zouave Volunteers / McCord's Zouaves
Wasnt that easy to find info on them.
interesting unit, seems they became mounted towards the end of the war.
if anyone has some of the figures would love to see them without the base photoshopped out.
Collectors Showcase, could you please post some pictures of the figures?
Thanks

Here is some insight into Hampton's Legion from a cavalry perspective: The original mounted troops were mustered as three companies. A) The Edgefield Hussars from Edgefield, SC located about twenty miles from Augusta GA. B) Brooks Troop comprised of mounts from the Greenville, SC area and C) Beaufort District Troop from the town of the same name located halfway or so between Charleston SC and Savannah GA. In August 1861 a fourth company was mustered in: Congaree Troop from the Columbia (central) SC region. By August of 1862 the four companies were folded into elements of the 4th South Carolina Cavalry Battalion and was renamed the 2nd South Carolina Cavalry under Colonel MC Butler. The ten companies were:

Company C – Congaree Mounted Rifles, Captain John H. Meighan, Richland District
Company D – Wassa Massaw Rangers, Captain, Andrew J. Hydrick, Charleston District
Company E – Dean’s Cavalry, Captain George B. Dean, Spartanburg District
Company F – Easley’s Cavalry, Captain John Westfield, Pickens District
Company G – Bonham’s Light Dragoons, Captain J. W. Gary, Newberry District
Company H – Congaree Troop, Captain James P. Macfie, Richland District
Company I – Edgefield Hussars, Captain Tillman H. Clark, Edgefield District
Company K – Brooks Troop, Captain Leonard Williams, Greenville District

Hope that data assists you

Thanks Jefman. Yes Hamptons legion fascinates me. So many units and uniforms and they fought from the fist to the last.

South Carolina planter Wade Hampton became the de facto leader of ANV Cavalry after Jeb Stuart was killed by Michigan Cavalry at Yellow Tavern in May 1864. He proved to be a much more disciplined and focused cavalry leader than Stuart and executed high quality generalship against larger and better equipped Federal Cavalry despite a lack of quality weapons, mounts and troopers. His performance against Phil Sheridan and George Custer at Trevilian Station is indicative of his abilities.

I didnt know that. Knew he was a great general but thought he was only in the infantry
