Well I just got my latest D-Day sets of the US 1st division. These, I must say, were a bit of a let down as I placed them next to the sets that were just retired.

The sets that were just retired had such a combat feel to them. Slender faces with that distant look in the eyes. Lots of animation in the poses.

These new ones are even slightly larger figures, body, face, though the canteens seem to have shrunk. The faces lack bone structure, it's there under the baby faces of course - but to me it feels like we have stepped backwards in the feel of the US combat soldier. Even the British soldiers have more facial character and animation.

I could be the only one who feels this way, but I just had to post. Wondering what others think.

Scale - 6.5/10. I'm taking half a point off due to the divisional patches not following the arm position, but always being put on straight up and down. They never did that before.
