Diorama pieces can certainly add to the appeal of any diorama. With so many different ranges, time frames and geographical locations I suspect that K&C or any other manufacturer would find it difficult to make something for everyone. That is why we see companies like Build-A-Rama, JG Miniatures and others.
My two main ranges are American Rev and Desert War. Not two much in way of building or diorama pieces can go with those. Although I did get some GREAT desert buildings and palm trees from Warrior (George).
But a great deal of the fun in building the diorama is to see what I can do my self. For the American Rev I am building a dozen different items such as bridges, wood stacks, log defenses, stone walls, fences and more.
The diorama by Cornwallis just a few days ago was spectacular. But (IMHO) the buildings "added" to the display but were not the "focus" of the display. THe story and the arrangement were great!
The white building was something special. I gotta' try building that. But I understand that subjects like Ancient Egypt, WWII cities, Roman ruins and such can really be a challenge.
Still I have to get me one of those wells for the Desert Dio!!!
