Hey Simmo,i don't think it is a dig at all mate. And i hear what you are saying about lists.Of course yes i have a long list of stuff i'd like,it grows rapidly!
.However what i'm trying to say is there is a diff between listing what you'd like to see and demanding it gets made.Andy has said many times that he does take on board what is suggested, sometimes it gels with what he wants to make and sometimes is doesn't.And when it doesn't we just have to accept that as founder and director of the company he will go with what he wants.
There is nothing wrong with Johns lists, they often contain some excellent ideas no doubt about it.But the minute you start demanding and trying to dictate it will get anyone's back up and they will go in another direction.I think part of the problem is that sometimes we on this forum forget how unusual it is to have almost direct access to the director of our favourite company,i used to collect 1/6th scale Dragon figs and getting a reply to an email was like trying to get blood out of a stone.
There is also no doubt that 'slow and steady wins the race'.Some years back i was part of a 'campaign' to persuade Andy to return to Arnhem. There was no demanding just a steady and growing number of people asking for it,and whilst i'm sure Andy wanted to go back to Arnhem anyway it no doubt helped.
From my experience in this collecting hobby and from talking to Andy i just think that whilst Andy is happy to consider suggestions demanding will have the opposite result.
Just my tuppence worth Simmo
Cheers
Rob
