I really like W. Britains German 88mm Flak 36 Gun, crew, and accessory sets! Recently, I revised my existing vignette with the previously-released camouflaged Flak 36 gun and crew figures to a smaller scene representing a last ditch defensive position on a rubble-strewn street in an urban area near the end of the war. The sandbags and tank obstacles are from War Park. W. Britains’ upcoming late war Flak 36 gun with late war carriage will be the perfect fit for this scene!

That’s so cool. Your layout is spot on for this iconic gun. You can imagine this in numerous locations in the waning period of the war. Robin.

Most impressive! Imagine the damage that 88 could do. Layout and ground cover looks great.

I think that this gun is there for a 'last stand' as there is no quick way of getting the gun out of that particular sandbagged emplacement if they need to!!!

The gun need a big space to be able to get it in, then lower to the ground and detach the bogies before setting up for the firing postion.

Love the setup with all the extras you have placed there,

well done,

John

Thanks for the kind compliments, everyone 😃

Obee, the gun emplacement in my scene is definitely a last stand type scenario! I was kind of thinking along the lines of what one sees in some of the historical photos from the Battle of Berlin, and in particular that gun emplacement the kids were manning in the first part in the the excellent German film, “Der Untergang”/The Downfall. W. Britains upcoming late war Flak 36 with the late war fixed carriage will really look the part in this diorama.

I can’t wait to see what you come up with next!

And you are right, Der Untergang”/The Downfall is excellent. It is actually my all-time favorite movie.
