Hi all,

I just wanted to give a quick heads up on our new log and clapboard farmhouse (1:32/30 scale). I don't have time for a full post just now, so here are just a few teaser photos. More to come... (or you can check on our site: www.traversedioramics.com)

Okay, Here's some more details and photos. The farmhouse marks the first of our Homestead Series, in which we'll represent dwellings and various outbuildings in 1:32/30 scale. This first homestead we're calling "Hatchet Creek." The farmhouse is modeled after a real Western Pennsylvania home built in the 1850s. It's log structure and narrow clapboard siding is typical for the period, extending back at least a century. So it works well for AWI along with ACW displays, and even FIW and Western, too.

The farmhouse features interior detailing, including a stone fireplace with mantel. The roof is removable and reveals a main room, shed-style room, and second floor. The second floor itself features a cutaway and is also removable.

We'll be offering both a painted and unpainted version. We're also working on a detailing kit which will include muttons for the windows ("grills" in modern lingo) as well as a functioning 6-panel front door.

Very nice indeed Dave, what are your costs for the unpainted and painted version?

Thanks, Sandor. Yes, the unpainted version will retail for $79. I'll be getting a handful of those next week from the factory. You can pre-order them for $69 and free shipping at the moment.

Pricing on the painted versions has not been set yet. You can look for that in the next couple weeks.

Best,

That is a very nice piece to center a diorama around. It will be interesting to see this series as it grows. If the future pieces are anything like this farmhouse, it will be a very good set up indeed!
