Anyone catch the new policy that went into effect on March 18th; if you list an item as buy it now, it automatically renews every month if it does not sell at a charge of .25 cents.
Put another way; I have about 300 items on Ebay now, if none of them sell and they all roll over in the same month, I get whacked about 75.00 if I'm doing the math right...……………..someone like Crown or Sager that has 3,000 or so items listed, they'll get whacked 750.00 a month.
Every month.
I called Ebay, the customer service rep said to avoid this, you can end a listing and it won't relist? Well what good is that, a lot of people watch my listings right up until the end and pull the trigger.
She also said this does not apply to auctions; big deal, I don't use auctions.
I have 250 free listings a month with my store, I am going to bump the number to the next level of 750; the cost of moving up will offset the .25 relisting fee every month.
They claim this is to assist you sell more product; in my eyes, it's way for them to grab more money.
It's time to look into other selling platforms, the fees are getting out of control with them.
