New Game on Treefrog - Correct the Movie Dialogue!!!!

Feel free to add your own most annoying dialogue quotes, but at the same time, you have to "correct" the dialogue. Blizzard here today, so a tad bored .......

Although I very much enjoy the movie the Last of Mohicans (1992), the description of the role of artillery is so bad that it makes the tank battle scene in the Battle of the Bulge look good!!!

Maj. Duncan Heyward: Might I inquire after the situation sir, given that I've seen the French engineering from the ridge above.

Colonel Munro: The situation is that his guns are bigger than mine and he has more of them. We keep our heads down while his troops dig 30 yards of trench a day. When those trenches are 200 yards from the fort and within range, he'll bring in his 15-inch mortars, lob explosive rounds over our walls, and pound us to dust.

Comment: 18th Century mortars are fused weapons and you had to at least 600 yards away from the target in order to safely manipulate and time the fuse lengths. Especially tricky for French mortars as you had two separate fuses to light. At 200 yards, the shells likely would likely explode while still in the mortar. ....... Besides, a mortar is an exploding shell, not a kinetic energy impact weapon, like a solid cannon shot, so pointless to be close..... If trenching only 30 yards a day would have taken the French nearly two months (53 days) to reach the point blank gun battery position, the siege lasted 6 days .......

Corrected Frogger Dialogue:

Colonel Munro: The situation is that his guns are bigger than mine and he has more of them. We keep our heads down while his troops dig 200 yards of trench a day. When those trenches are 200 yards from the fort and within point-blank range, he'll bring up his 18-pound cannon and breach the walls; all the while, his mortars lob explosive rounds over our walls, and pound us to dust.
