Hi Matt,

I am looking forward to the pre-ordering, which will be starting soon on these new figures. Since painting Highlander uniforms requires additional time and patience will the basic figure price be more than the usual 49.95?

Painting Highland plaid is very time consuming. I know First Legion charges more for Drummers and Sapper figures. Just wondering.

All very true , I guess we will just have to wait and see about the Price Just can't stop looking at the Photo's of these lads , The sculpting and Painting have gone to another level . First Legion with this release IMO have just left everyone in the dust , they are just so far ahead of what everyone else is doing . I think most collectors get what First Legion are doing , but some guys just keep their heads in the sand . If what I just said is Unagreeable to some well that's life (and this is a FL thread ) . This is IMO just becoming more and more obvious with every release , I mean really..... even a child can see the difference . Best Gebhard

We should all cross our fingers on this. I do know these figures were harder and more time consuming to produce. We can only hope that Matt and company worked some more magic to help keep our mortgate payments timely. So far I think they have done very well by us to say the least.

As it is, I think they are not getting the attention here they deserve, likely because they are buried in the AWI thread. Hopefully Matt or one of us will start the dedicated thread they so rightfully deserve when they are near pre-order. Now who is it that wants to pre-order the pre-order, not that I don't agree?

Now that the Highlanders are available for pre-ordering, we know that the price did raise a modest five dollars from the $50.00 (actually $49.95) Old Guard pricing. Don’t tell Matt but I was thinking the price would be going up ten dollars each. So I’m happy and still feel they are a bargain at $55.00 (actually $54.95) for the basic figure.

I agree and have my pre-order in. I think it just depends on what goes into them; the Russians are $49.95 base but the Westpalians are $45.95.

With all the extra work that must have went into painting all the Tartan , The socks , Kilts and caps all need a little extra attention and that takes time . Taking that into consideration I can live with the extra 5 bucks
