Since the beginning of the year ( Panzer 38t Märder etc...) none new product come … exists 21C still?

Only 1/32 and 1/48th planes and some 1/48th scale vehicles have come out in the past couple of months.

There was discussion on a similar thread here in the forum about 21st Century's current status, but there was no definitive answer. Some have read articles explaining that TFCT have laid off workers, but there was no more detail as to whether that meant sales staff here in the US and elsewhere, or if that referred to factory staff in the People's Republic.

Also, as a lot of TFCT fans have noted, in the past 2 years, WalMart dropped the line from its toy aisle, which was seen by many collectors as a sign that the company was going out of business.

In the meantime, the company's own website continues to list expected releases.

So, we're not sure.

Prost!

Several dealers are offering pre orders on the 1-18th 88 for an early November release, so I don,t quite understand 21st status.
Having said the above my personal opinion is it really don,t look good for the company.

I think it was John Gambale who noted yesterday that notices are also out on a 1/18th 88m Flak gun.

Confusion reigns.....

Some sources have mentioned that Target stores have stocked some 21C items, including a different paint scheme on the P51D. The long-sought (by me at least) US artillery crews were part of that batch. UNFORTUNATELY in typical 21C fashion the distribution is spotty - the confirmed reports all seem to be in the southeast US. I know they are nowhere near me! I need some of the 155mm/8" artillery crews for the ammo that comes with them. 21C seems to be an "odd" outfit they can't stock items that will definitely sell in quantity but they produce early WW2 Chinese infantry!

Hi, Gary, I've heard that, too, about Target, but I haven't stopped in to the 2 in my area, to see what they have. I'm with you about distribution. I didn't know about some of the 1/18th aircraft they made until I found their website, and the models were long since off the market. Like the F6F and the F4U, I never saw those in the stores.

I pass one of the Targets on my way home, maybe I'll stop off and scout it out...

I still don't have one in my hands but a modeler from Florida said that he saw them at a local Target store. I have been looking for them.

Stopped at one of the Target stores on the way home tonight, no 21st Century Toys to be found, and the staff at the store hadn't heard whether the Target was carrying the brand. They suggested checking the store's website.

On the other hand, they do have Forces of Valor, and I was reminded how great their sets are. I saw the StuG set in 1/35, nicely done, the 1/18th Sherman, also pretty good looking, for a toy, and some of the figure sets. There was a set of modern US infantry in Iraq, I think it was, a couple of figures, their equipment, and a base depicting a bombed-out building, all for $10. I think that that is a great deal, for what comes in that set.

We'll keep tracking down 21st Century, though.

Prost!

Any ideas or hints on what they may release for 2009 regarding their WW2
vehice line up?????? I love the Marder III release's and the camo schemes.
Hope they keep up the good work.:)
