I just got my JR-10 Highlander Standard Bearer...

I have had trouble in the past with Johns Flag Bearers...also K&C's Saracen Flag Bearers...falling over or being top heavy...

This new material that John is using for the flag...

does anybody know what it is?

I'm not sure it's metal...is it a resin?

It's certainly lightweight...painted nicely...solves the topple problem...just not what I was expecting...

what do the buyers think about it?

by the way...the figure is beautiful...

I noticed that too. Had endless trouble with the BM-03 flag bearer falling over. That problem seemed to be fixed with more recent sets even with the heavier flags. As you say, this is his lightest flag yet. Almost has the feel of plastic, but doubt that is it. What I really need is more french flags for Quebec. At the very least, the royal or national flag (whatever they call it). I believe it was all white.
