The flag seems is used by the Japanese Marine or Navy

So this soldier is not from the Imperial Army....

I "think" this is the first time I have seen a cave used in this manner.

Good to hear Larry. I already have JN030 ( a truly great figure ) so will have to get this new guy at some point too, along with the officer with pistol and Samurai sword.

Thanks; I've been wanting to incorporate a cave for some time to give the Japanese a little extra protection. One Japanese soldier stands guard atop the structure.

Hi Rudi, as Larry mentioned, he stands pretty well. I have other single standing Japanese (standing straight on both legs) that don't balance as well. The bottom of his flag (which is a pretty good thickness) helps provide added support on softer surfaces.
