There will be a toy soldier show held this Sunday March 7th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Secaucus New Jersey from 9:00am till 3:00pm.

The show will feature over 150 tables of toy soldiers and vintage toys; all of the major manufacturers product will be represented at the show.

Andy Neilson should be at the show as well as some of Louis' symposium attendees, so I hope to see some of the forum members there as last year there were north of 500 people at the show, a good time had by all......................

Raymond,
We have more than our fair share of toy soldier shows here in the U S of A, and I am lucky to be able to get to most of them and meet so many collectors.

This show is special as Louis and many of the Symposium attendees come to this one after his event on Sunday.

I had a wonderful meeting yesterday with Andy and Helen from K & C and we discussed many topics and Andy confirmed he will be at this show, so that is the icing on the cake...........

There's an opportunity for you, Raymond! Become a show promoter, stage a toy soldier/model figure show in Singapore.

Prost!
Brad

Raymond,
You can always come to Australia in the middle of the year as Andy coming Down Under again.
Regards
Brett

George,

I made a note of the 4 toy soldier shows you mentioned in another post in the K&C subforum:

Westcoaster (February)

Valley Forge (May)

Chicago (September)

Hackensack (November)

The New York Symposium is rather well timed as it between the Westcoaster and the New Jersey shows in a fairly short time frame.

Thanks very much for the info.

Best Wishes, Raymond.:)

Brad,

I like your suggestion, but.....

There is no critical mass of collectors in my part of the world for the vendors and some dealers to justify a trip half across the world.

If there is no critical mass of collectors in the host and neighbouring countries, the success of the show would be pretty doubtful.

The thread on "Toy Soldier Shows in Australia" was very interesting reading in this regard.

There are a good number of collectors in Australia and New Zealand, so an annual toy soldier show must start there first.

Nevertheless, I do like the idea.

Thanks, Raymond.:)

No problem Raymond, my pleasure and it's funny how those four shows work out to be spread evenly across the year so you have four shows in the four seasons basically more or less, interesting how that plays out........

Brett,

I would love to meet Andy and the Australian treefroggers.

Please post further details when available.

Thanks, Raymond.:)
