As always I hope you like the new releases as much as we do. We saw a preview of these on Sunday and I was blown away. Not literally. Look at the use of color on the Snowshoes and Raid on St Francis figures. I know I am very biased, but these are simply some of the best figures being made right now. Hope you agree.

Also this represents the first half of almost a new series focused on the Indians in the Raid on St Francis. This will be very interesting to watch this develop.

Enjoy.

Very best regards

Mike

BATTLE ON SNOWSHOES
The militia in New France, in theory included every able-bodied man aged 16 to 60. They were organized in companies according to the local parishes, with each one being about 50 men with a captain, lieutenant and sergeant.
There were three militia districts, Quebec, Trois-Rivieres and Montreal, each with a Colonel and a Major.
The militia were supposed to meet and train once a month and were involved in peace time for things like law enforcement and road construction. The militia had no uniform and received no pay, but they were issued with clothing and equipment when going on campaign which typically included a cloth cap, a hooded coat with sash, and either breeches or native-style leggings. They were also equipped with a musket if needed.
During the French and Indian War, 2,200 militia were incorporated into the eight regular and two marine battalions based in New France.

Love the new figures,

I'm getting SF04, JR06 and USCH11 for sure.

RSF01 would make a great "peaceful" diorama set,

Randy,

you will get that one for sure and do a "BANG UP" expert job on showing it I'm sure,

but I'm using my,

amazingly strong willpower, :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:,

and avoiding St. Francis,

except fot the 2 Whaleboats,

and the 3 canoes

and 2 RR sets,

that I already have,

lol.

That God for my strong constitution,

or I would have to buy them all.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I'm so proud of myself.

Yeah, yeah! Mike you just wait and see what new diorama you will be posting in a couple of months time ;):D

I look forward to it :)

Jeff

Btw, of course these new figures are rather impressive.

They are all impressive looking! I will have to get RSF-01 kind of a neat little peaceful set. :) Michael you will give in and buy the stockade and other sets.:D

Michael

You are right the First Musket Set has definitely got my name all over it.
I am sure you will get it too because it is the companion piece to the canoe with the Brit captive. The money the Indians have to spend on the musket is from the sale of the captive:

Great stuff as always. I do wish John would do more personality figures, but he doesn't seem very fond of them. Even if they were lesser knowns it would add something - at least for me.

Very Cool releases  - not many this month - which is good in a way, lets everyone play catch up !

"His first musket" is a wonderful set.
And I thought I am not buying anymore matte finished figures
Mabye one exception with this one
Konrad

I'm sure I will get RSF01, two of the figures are versatile enough to work into anything and the French trader (love that bottle in his hand), I got an idea for him.

All four sets are still under $250.

Love the releases so I am not complaining but does anyone else think we could use some more FIGHTING rangers for BOSS? Think we have enough French I know there were more French and Indians than Rangers at the battle but my dio looks a little lopsided. What do you guys think?

Hey Joel,

You're right about the disparity in figures, but,

I think the battle actually consisted of about 295 French/Indian to 74 (86 starting the trip with a dozen or so returning before the ambush) Rangers/Brits,

depending on whose version you believed,

so this would be pretty accurate in ratio I guess,

but really if anything, maybe more French/Indian.

But you know me,

John can stop when he reaches the actual count as far as I'm concerned.:D:D:D

I would probably buy them all.:D:D:D

I bet there will be a ranger set or two before all is said and done!

The painting on these seem to be getting better and more beautiful.
Mark

300 french/indian,183 rangers.
Mark

I dunno Mark,

I guess it's just what we read,

stories differ, I suppose,

Captain Rogers led a scouting expedition from Fort Edward on January 15, stopping at Fort William Henry to acquire provisions, snowshoes, and additional soldiers.[8] The company left Fort William Henry on January 17 with 86 men, heading down the frozen Lake George. The next day twelve men turned back because of injuries.

Seems I read different numbers somewhere else too.

Anybody gotten their June releases yet?

I hope to hear something by Tuesday the 26th.
