Flame thrower man????? That just doesn't sound right.
 
I thought I read that they were called "Zippo" men. It was the most popular lighter in WWII (and wind-proof)...oh yes from that small museum in Zippo, PA which I accidentally stumble as I was taking a short cut from Pittsburgh to Niagara Falls, NY (that's where the lighter was made).
