Hi guys,
Some might not look at the thread about the Aussie Tour in July but if you are interested in a new WWI Lighthorse figure have a look there as Andy of K&C posted the image there.
My tip on this one is that the first production run will sell out quickly so get your dealer to pre-order quick. Mine are already "locked in".
Regards
Brett

Hi Brett very nice figure..it is possible to buy it from the King & Country site?or it's limited to australian customers? It's a club figure?

Hi,
Hopefully Andy of K&C won't mind me saying this but this figure was originally going to be a Club figure (CF19). As CF20 WWII Digger was also Australian this was not good news for Aussie dealers or collectors who have not had any Aussie subjects since the two WWII North Africa sets which retired a couple of years ago. Needless to say I did my best to convince Andy to make this figure a "normal" figure.
Since we were discussing his Aussie trip Andy came up with the idea of releasing it at the same time Aussie trip was announced.
It will be US$32. At time of writing it is not on K&C web page and should be available end of this month.
You should be able to order through any dealer. It is not exclusive to Australia but as it is a an iconic subject in Australia I predict the first run will sell out quick.
Regards
Brett

Thanks for the answer Brett, it's a beautiful figure indeed , all of us , i hope, remember "The Lighthorsemen" movie(with the great Paul Hogan).Certainly i'll buy this figure!

Sorry Paul hogan wasn't in the Lighthorsemen he was in the Mimi series ANZACS.:)

You're right!!!!!!!I mixed up the 2 movies..by the way great movie "The lighthorsemen" even without Crocodile Dundee!it's very rare to see both of them in this part of the world (Italy) ..i watched Anzac only one time and my memories are too faded but "Lighthorsemen" is very good , specially the Beersheba charge!

I just picked up Anzacs cheap the other week and am 3/4 through watching it.Still good for low budget film.Simmo

I know there's a dvd (region 4 that is region 2) on australian store of both movies but i've never bought in Australia so i don't know if i'll ever receive them !obviously i hope someone will edit a version for European market, i don't know why there is not a UK version !

I had to get a few movies over seas I couldn't get it here for some reason.Bravo Two Zero and When trumphts fade and Stalingrad.Simmo.

I think on Play.com you can find most of the movies and the shipping is free all over the world.

I do hope very much that this figure is going to sell well and Andy will make a series of them (mounted figures too, of course).

As a proud 'old boy' of the Australian Army Cadet I was the only non-white student who was promoted to CUO (cadet under officer) and I commanded a platoon in 1994.

Some of my peers thought I was under-qualified for my imperfect english (and being foreign born) but I manged to be a competent leader and earned the respect of my subordinates.

I had collected all Aussie K&C figures and for obvious personal reasons, I would love more Aussie subjects.

Yes, i agree with you..i think the next instalment of the WWI range will be middle east..we'll see australian in grey shirt at the Gallipoli landings and hopefully the mounted lighthorsemen..and then we'll return to the western front.
