Just read an article about an upcoming movie about the life of Abraham Lincoln to be produced by Steven Spielberg staring Daniel Day-Lewis as Lincoln . I must say I'm already looking forward to seeing Mr Lewis's portrayal of Mr Lincoln ...he really gets into his roles ^&cool:salute:: could be Great I guess time will tell . Regards Gebhard

A couple of years ago there was talk (seems just that) of this Speilberg movie but with Liam Neeson. Hopefully, it's getting off the ground finally.

I'm really looking forward to this. This will be based on the book "Team of Rivals" by Doris Kearn Goodwin. It will star Daniel Day Lewis as Abraham Lincoln. Sally Field was just cast as Mary Todd Lincoln. It looks promising.

Yup I remember that also , I'm personally glad that Mr Neeson signed off , I like him but he is noooo Lincoln :wink2: .. from the Article I read its a done deal and Daniel day Lewis is on board . Here is a little of the info I have " At long last the news was released on the 19th that Dan will be starring in Steven Spielberg's long awaited film on Abraham Lincoln. This production is based on the best selling novel "Team Of Rivals", which focuses on Lincoln's interaction with his cabinet over abolition, and ending the Civil War. A cabinet he chose "to keep his enemies" close . Filming begins in the Fall of 2011" .. I will be waiting to see this one .. Regards Gebhard
