Hello, I'm new to the forum . Interested in WW2 stuff in particular, esp German. (non SS)

Notice there are few standard German Army (wehrmacht) figures availiable now as this range was discontinued. Are there any plans to revamp this line to align wih the early war french and british troops? I notice there are early war WaffenSS figures.

I have aquired a few of the (large size 1/30) Wehrmacht troops from Ebay.

I am into model making and was wondering about repainting some WSS (without smocks) and AfrikaKorps figures into standard Feldgrau Army troops.(with lowboots and anklets). Does this lower the value as collector items? Or increase as conversion one-off figures. I'm a pretty good painter - so they would look like Kand C stuff

Hello pwalms and welcome to the forum!

I'm not sure about past and present plans with the WWII lines as I am mostly Napoleonic and Crusaders in regards to K&C. However, I can say that repainting the figures will decrease their value as far as collectiblity goes since most collectors want the items as they were released. I would recommend you check out the casting threads and see what figures are available for you to paint.

I'm certain you'll get a fair amount of feedback and a lot of great information by my fellow members who are extremely knowledgable and eager to help.

Once again, welcome to the forum.

Eric

If you have no plans to resell the figures then go ahead and paint them. But if you're looking for a profit, I would agree with what Chiefs70 already stated. As far as future sets, only Andy knows what KC will produce, every month we get a preview with the dispatches. But keep in mind that KC keeps producing what sells best, and Waffen SS sets are very popular.

Welcome aboard, Pwalms.

You do realize that K&C makes an extensive early war Fields of Battle line, so you don't have to repaint wermacht figures and AK figures to get early war Wermacht.

Welcome to the mad house mate.Do what you want with the figures there yours and if you are a great painter go crazy and create new works of art.Who knows your new works might sell for lots.Simmo.

welcome:) Be great to see more of the non-cammoflaged german troops, like the ones below. They look great bunched together. Dunno why Andy dosen't do more of them, there's no shortage of cammo guys. As regards painting the figures, I've painted a couple of figures (not very well :D) so depends how good you are at it and whether you really will sell em again, otherwise have fun:D

Redhugh,

the plain german uniform looks cool.

I musk ask the Singapore Armed Forces to hire Designer's for our outdated Vietnam War US-design camo.

Hugo Boss will be great, anything but FUBU.
