Dear Maximo,
Welcome to the Forum. If you live in the U.K., I believe the Nevilles of King & Country U.K. are the best suppliers -- you probably have seen Tony Neville's posts on this forum. They are the exclusive distributors of K&C in the U.K. and supply all the retailers there. What range or ranges you collect is a very subjective thing and really based on what you are interested in. I collect most of the K&C ranges including WWII, Napoleonics and Streets of Old Hong Kong. However, if you want a suggestion, I would recommend the WWII D-Day and Waffen SS ranges. This may generate some posts from the Napoleonic K&C collectors, but the WWII K&C ranges are the most popular and increase in value the most.:)

Maximo,

Welcome to the Forum. I can't add much more than what has been said. But as to what range to collect depends on your interests. Regardless of your interest, we're all here to help you.

Cheers.

Maximo

Welcome and a wrm welcome from the UK forum members.

You have been given good advice as Mike is a very good contact to have on the matter of K&C. They also run the Toysoldier show in London the largest toysoldier show in Europe.

They have just moved (luckily for me just up the road) in Durham, where they have a unit with all the K&C you could want for. You have been given the right contacts and as Steven says Tony is often on here with his brother Bob giving the odd, two penny!

What to collect!!!???? up to you but the best thing would to collect what you fancy, then dependant on what has been continued depends on if you can get you hands on the old stuff or not.

I would ring Mike 01329 233141 and speak to Mike who is more than happy to help you.

They are also at a toy fair in February at the NEC in Birmingham if you want to see it in the flesh.

Be good to meet up at some stage:D

Hi Maximo, You a Brit too? There's a few of us on here.

As for collecting suggestions I'd say AfrikaKorps but then I always say that.

Hi Maximo,

Welcome aboard. Whatever lines you chose to collect you can't go wrong. I think the WWII and Napoleonic Ranges are absolutely outstanding. Enjoy!

Maximo.
Welcome, I am from the UK as well. I collect only K&C Napoleonics and my wife has a modest collection from the Streets of Old Hong Kong range, it's a matter of personal choice really.
Monty, it would be a great idea if the UK members could meet up at one of the shows.
Regards
Jeff

Welcome Maximo, I'm new here too, but it didn't take long to find out what a great bunch of people there are here. As far as collecting, looks like the whole K&C is first class quality stuff, so whatever floats your boat and sparks your interest the most, collect what like and you can't go wrong.

Have a good time, that's what it's all about!
Fred

I too collect Napoleonics and just love the range.......As for what you should collect, collect the time period that most interrests you. Don't collect just because one is more popular than the other...you have to be happy with what you collect. I have been a collector for many years (not in toy soldiers) and the one thing I will tell you is this.... in the long run the item that is collected the least will be the one that becomes harder to find and thus the rarest (my opinion only..of course). One down fall with WW2 is the room you need to display all the vehicles. I can tell you one thing you are definitly on the right track by collecting K&C......:D

Many thanks to all you membrs who took the time to reply back to me: I have taken the information on board, and with me living in the North East i was delighted to find that the Nevilles have moved North and thanks to tony for the invite to go and have a look around their premises... Means i get to see first hand what the figures look like rather than on the website(although thewebsite is excellent)...

Thanks again Maximo..

Hi Maximo,
Just a little late, as usual, sorry, but here it goes: personally I especially like the Fall of Berlin Russians ( have you seen the tank riders with the flag? I love flags, LAH has nice flags...), to me they are some of the best figures K&C has ever made. Da, tovaritch!!! There's a lot of Waffen SS being made all around, maybe too much ( after all the Wehrmacht mustered much higher numbers, naturally ) so these Russians also have the advantage of being more unusual.
But the best I can tell you is choose what you like and enjoy.

Happy collecting,
Paulo

You're very right about too much SS. I think i read somewhere that at their peak there were only 900,000 SS troops which compared to the millions in the Wehrmacht was a drop in the ocean.

It's just their camoflage that make them so popular!
