Picked up a few DVD's yesterday. One of them "Uprising" depicts the Warsaw Jewish uprising in 1943 (not the Home Army uprising). Riveting stuff.
Also, "Von Richthoven and Brown". Not what you would call classic cinema, but some very good air to air combat scenes and no CGI, unlike the excreable "Flyboys". As far as I could tell they were real WW1 aircraft and not models.
Gonna watch "The Fallen" next. Haven't a clue what its about cos the blurb is all in Chinese, but the picture on the cover suggests its a WW2 movie - maybe, cos you never know what you're buying over here. :)

Re: WWII Animation

Ooops,
Sorry guys. I ought to have opened a new thread for the previous post.
Apologies to Debrito and could Brad please put my previous post into a new thread cos I don't know how to move it.

Harry,

I moved it and gave it a new title. I can change the title if you don't like the one I gave it.

Brad,
The new title's okay - Thanks.
I really just wanted to let Froggers know about the "Uprising" DVD I watched yesterday. I haven't heard of it before. It looks pretty new - and I was glued to the screen from start to finish, it really is that powerful. John Voight is in it. I thought his depiction of F. D. Roosevelt was one of the few saving graces of the "Pearl Harbour" movie, and his acting is just as good in Uprising.
