I am a great fan of Osprey, I have over 80 in my collection. They are cheap and very fast to read. Although they do not replace academical books in depth and authority, they are a great value for their contents.

This Raid series seems the kind of stuff I like: lots of action!
:cool::cool:

Cheers...

I also enjoy them but they are quite expensive here usually $18.95 to $27.95

which gets expensive because you usually find 3 or 4 you can't live without!

Once I have made my selection I simply order them from Amazon which

usually allows you to save 40% making them more reasonable!

Glad its not just me then!.Yep there is always quite a few you want isn't there,i find they are especially good for vehicles with their 'Vanguard' series.Brief History of development,Combat History and variants is very good for giving you a basic grounding in the vehicles History.

The Osprey books are great. As has been pointed out, they are best for introductions to and broad overviews of the subject at hand. IMO their best original work has been done gathering the aircraft of the aces information into one location. Prior to these works, the info was scattered in all locations. I also like their fortification series quite a bit. -- lancer

I've just seen on their website that all titles from the 'Warrior' series have a discount of 20% until 31st May.
