check out the new Conte Painted Vikings

pic's look good,

figures seem brighter and cleaner than previous releases

nice choice of sculpts

i don't think this company makes anything i wouldn't buy.............

let the invasion begin and overtake the K&C threads

Conte is as always innovative. They look good. I do expect quite a long wait though

I like the Raven standard figure in particular, the cheiftan looks good too.
The Catapult is awesome, perfect for your siege of Paris!
Dark ages is a favorite of mine.I collect and paint 28mm as well as the Conte 54mm plastics and metal.
Their Viking Raid sets look very good as well. Can't have too many Vikings!

should be a nice boost for the Vikings considering the new movie due out soon

even though the time period may not be totally relevant, not bad anyway

seems that conte may lean a little to the larger figure diorama's with the new BOSS and now these siege machines

its a nice touch and change

be nice to see what else is gonna be available

you are right about those viking sets, going to be real hard to resist, on second thought, not even going to try and resist them, biting the bullet right now and heading over to the Conte site and gettin me name on that pre-list.

thanks for the nudge on that one fubar, but when the wife asks i am gonna blame you

might as well start a "fight" under Conte too, may liven things up a bit

lets show em all how its done and how much fun this hobby and chat thing can be without all the drama

I suppose we will have to wait a good 6 months before the Vikings are actually in the shops. They look great. It really is pointless trying to do WWII when Kand C have that so sewn up. I know guys are desperate for another Tiger and 88 but there are so many other periods that can be explored. I thought the East of India Greeks were better than the Conte though

I think they were only released in metal (painted ones) and resin (the same pieces painted in a single color to match the playsets). These playsets did not have a very wide distibution, and Richard Conte is currently selling these (both versions) on ebay.

This 'Valhalla Awaits' series is really amazing!
