:) Hello Guy's! Mike at (New Model Army)-Formerly British Commando, has sent me Photo's and I have downloaded on my Computer, of the NEWLY Painted SS1 " MORTAR TEAM"! They Look way much better than the Early Figures, that Mike has Shown previously! Also, the STURMTIGER, AND THE HANONAG , will have Photo's very soon to be Shown on Treefrog! I can't wait to see the MARDER III, and the WESPE!The MARDER also, was used in N.AFRICA, and the GRILLE, and the WESPE ALSO!

Shannon, will Treefrog be carrying the NMA line? I tried to search your site but didn't see any info regarding whether you were or not. Do you have an idea of price? Maybe Mike from NMA could fill us in a little more but I can also understand his temporary absence from the bashing he took the last time he posted. Are all sets going to be limited or just this first run? Any info?????

Hi Fullyautomatic
Price should be about $79 in USA AND Canada - hope that is within budget. I plan to limit most sets in all honesty but will increase the number as time progresses if/when we get more popular. I do not ever envisage us producing more than 500 of each set. All dealers will be listed on the website next week, you should be aware that 2 dealers in Canada have already expressed interest in stocking our product if this helps?
Regards Mike

There is a good possibility that Treefrog will carry the line. We're just waiting to see the dealer terms. I think we'll have them within the next few days and can then make an informed decision. We'll make an announcement on the forum either way.

Not wanting to stir up a nest but my son has this set already!!! ...................................in plastic.

www.easy-shop.co.uk then search under TAMIYA

Cost him £4.49 Mind he noticed that not me!!!

Monty,
That link didn't work for me because I am not a member of that site, but the similarties have been brought to my attention previously. Keeping in mind that the two sets are different scales (1/35 vs. 1/30), different materials (plastic vs. metal), unpainted kit vs. finished figures and (though very similar in position) different sculpts I felt they were different enough for us to pick up this line.

Shannon

FAir play as i would say over here. Just like originality;) . But good luck to you.:) Just thought it interesting that my 6 year old son picked up on that one whilst looking over my shoulder!!!!!

Do you have a schedule for further releases of NMA and any idea if they are going to be in UK?

monty

Monty it's worth bearing in mind that some K&C figures are extremely reminiscent of Ron Volstad box art for Dragon models.

If you compare this prone figure with the prone figure in WS63 then they would seem to be quite similar. In the same set the standing figure firing is also reminiscent of another piece of Volstad art.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with this at all. It's likely that Volstad drew from photo reference and K&C saw the same photo.

i just feel it's overly harsh to be critical of NMA on this one.

Re: Message for the Brits

Please note that we will be selling direct to clients that live in the UK. Our website should reflect this tomorrow as had lots of confused Brits worried about where they were going to be able to buy the mortar set from!!:)
