I have been approached by a new Aussie maker who is selling flat pack of range of scenery.

There are three types of forest tree playsets which can add new forms of interest and challenges to games with figures.

The tree sets are a modern variation of the traditional toy castle or fort, providing excellent protective and defensive cover for toy figures.

They seem to be aimed towards children playing with toy soldiers, but the trees could also be used in war gaming with plastic figures, as they also sell Armies in Plastic figures.

The website is quite detailed showing the product and with lots of information, so check it out here: http://www.boldfrontiers.com.au/

Interesting concept ...

At first I was like Hmmm. But then when seen in a large group setting they looked better. After a moment more I was like, yes I could see that concept working. Foam board would work for this too. Make a few templates and have a go at it. At a distance in a large dio they would be fine. For war gaming it would go well with a tabletop in that they would come apart for storage, could be made quickly and cheaply, and look good enough without tipping over. They would provide actual screening if viewed from eye level of our little guys.
I'm thinking not just trees but maybe hedgerows. Make a long rectangle and flock the sides with a bushy moss.
Thanks for the link.
